  • Will a tooth gem harm my tooth?

Yes, you will still be able to undergo regular teeth whitening treatments with your gem in place. We recommend a teeth whitening treatment prior to application for optimal results.

Yes, our treatments are by appointment only. Please call 07904722415 or email info@curveandshine.com  to make an appointment.

Curve n Shine use 100% authentic, lead and nickel free Swarovski crystals. Swarovski crystals are polished to the highest standards, so that they sparkle like diamonds. They are stain resistant and have a flat back platinum surface.

The tooth gem application process takes approximately 15-20 minutes! Time depends on the design.

Yes, you will still be able to undergo a clean! We encourage a routine of good dental hygiene to prevent plaque from building up around the tooth gem. A dentist will easily be able to safely clean around the gem.

If all aftercare instructions are followed correctly, the gem will last anywhere between 6-24 months. The natural acidity of your saliva and diet plays a big part on how long an application lasts. If for whatever reason your tooth was to reject the gem, Curve n Shine will re-apply at no extra cost (within 60 days of original application).

A tooth gem will typically adhere to a tooth for 6-24 months. If a gem loosens and comes away within a few days or weeks, there are a few reasons why!

We get it, having a tooth gem is exciting! You may have touched or played with the tooth gem within 24 hours of application. It is important that you do not touch the gem with your finger or tongue, as the adhesives need 24 hours to reach maximum strength.

You may have snuck in solid foods sooner than advised.

Like any other foreign object in or on the body, it is quite possible for a tooth to reject a tooth gem. If this is the case, the gem may fall off quite quickly. Sparkle By Maya offer complimentary replacements for the first 60 days to resolve this matter.

No, a tooth accessory will not harm your tooth.

No, a tooth gem cannot be applied to an artificial tooth surface (such as crowns, caps, veneers or dentures) as it will not last very long. A tooth gem is recommended on a real, flat tooth surface to properly enjoy the longevity of your tooth gem.

Always ensure that you visit a dentist to remove your tooth gem. Please do not attempt to remove the gem at home, as our adhesives are of the highest standards. A dentist will simply remove the diamond and buff/polish the tooth to remove any remaining bonding materials.

We recommend not eating for at least 1 hour after the application, so please ensure that you eat prior to appointment. We also recommend that you only eats soft foods for 12 hours after the gem has been applied, as the adhesives need 24 hours to reach maximum strength. It is also best to avoid highly acidic drinks for 12 hours post treatment.
